Weddings & rehearsal dinners
Wood-Fired Pizza for Chicago Weddings
A live pizza station gives your reception a centerpiece guests remember and a dinner that keeps pace with the party. We bring the oven to your venue, stretch dough by hand, and bake made-to-order pies while your guests watch.
Why couples choose a live pizza station
A seated dinner is predictable. A live station is a scene.
Guests gather at the oven, watch the flames, and compare what they ordered. Pizza also solves the timing problem, because pies come out in waves rather than all at once, so the room never sits waiting on a single course.
For a Chicago wedding with a mixed guest list, that flexibility matters. You get a dinner that feels social without asking anyone to stand in a long line.
Where it fits
- Cocktail hour
- Small pies and a grazing board while photos happen.
- Main reception meal
- Bakes timed to your toasts and first dance.
- Late-night slices
- Slice service catches guests after the band's last set.
Fitting the station into your timeline
We build the schedule around your run of show
Most couples use us for cocktail hour, the main reception meal, or a late-night bite. Some do two of those. Tell us your order of events and we plan the oven around it, not the other way around.
Rehearsal dinners
The night before the wedding suits a smaller, relaxed setup. Family and the wedding party eat without a formal service, and it is often easier to host at a backyard, a rented space, or a family home. Keep the menu simple or add salads and desserts. Because the setup is smaller than a full reception, it is also a lower-cost way to bring the live-oven experience to your wedding weekend.
- Cocktail hour Small pies and a grazing board so guests eat while photos happen. Bakes run in short waves as arrivals come through.
- Main meal Pies timed to your toasts and first dance, so the room moves from ceremony to dinner without a lull.
- Late-night Slice service after the band's last set. Guests who skipped dessert come back for one more pie before the send-off.
- Rehearsal dinner A relaxed station the night before, sized for family and the wedding party at a backyard, rented space, or family home.

What to serve alongside the pizza
Build a wedding dinner, not a pizza night
Pizza can carry a reception menu on its own, but a few additions round it out. We will help you balance the spread so it reads like a wedding dinner, with enough variety that guests come back for a second plate.
Cocktail hour
A grazing board or passed appetizers cover the gap while you finish photos.
Between slices
Salads give the table something fresh to reset the palate mid-meal.
After the main
Desserts and late-night slices keep the energy up once the dancing starts.
A fuller spread
Add calzones or arancini-style bites if you want more than pie on the table.
Menu and dietary needs
Everyone at the table has something they are glad to eat
We build the menu around your guests, including vegetarian pies and options for common dietary needs. Tell us early and we plan a dedicated pie or two rather than leaving someone to pick around a slice.
Vegetarian pies
Built into the main menu, not treated as an afterthought.
Gluten-sensitive guests
A small number is easy to plan for. Tell us the count and we will sort it.
Allergy flags
We flag which pies contain nuts or dairy so you can guide your guests.
Vegan guests
A dedicated pie or two keeps the same experience on every plate.
Sizing the setup for your guest count
A wedding of 80 and a wedding of 250 need different plans
We size the number of pies, the staffing, and the oven output to your headcount so the line keeps moving. Most guests eat two to three slices, and kids eat less, which helps us estimate.
If your final count is still shifting, we can quote a range and lock it in closer to the date. Large weddings may run more than one station so no one waits through a second song.
Space, venue, and weather
From downtown lofts to lakeside tents
We have served Chicago venues from downtown lofts to suburban barns and lakeside tents. A wood-fired oven on a trailer needs a level surface and a clear path in, and we will ask about stairs, elevators, and door widths ahead of time.
For outdoor weddings we plan for wind and rain with a covered station. If your venue has a set setup window or loading rules, share them and we will work within them.
What we ask before the day
- Your venue address, load-in window, and any loading rules
- Whether the station is indoors, outdoors, or under a tent
- Stairs, elevators, or narrow doors between the truck and the spot
- Power access, or whether we run the oven on our own setup
Booking your wedding date
Peak Saturdays fill up first
Late spring through early fall goes fastest, so reach out as early as you can. Once you have a date and a venue, a quote request gets the process moving. We will ask about your guest count, your timeline, and any dietary needs, then send a package and price.
There is no obligation to book after a quote, and we are happy to answer questions before you decide.

Common questions from couples
Before you send the date
The three questions we hear most from couples planning a wedding pizza catering setup. If yours is not here, call or write and we will answer it plainly.
Can you handle both cocktail hour and the main meal?
Yes. Many couples use us for cocktail-hour bites and the reception main, and some add late-night slices. We time the bakes to your run of show so food keeps moving as guests arrive and as the schedule shifts.
How far ahead should we book our wedding?
Book as early as you can, especially for peak Saturdays from late spring through early fall. Once you have a date and venue, a quote request starts the process. We will confirm availability and build a package around your guest count.
Do you serve rehearsal dinners too?
Yes. A rehearsal dinner often uses a smaller, relaxed setup at a backyard, rented space, or family home. It is a lower-cost way to bring the live-oven experience to your wedding weekend.
