West Loop, Chicago — Mobile Pizzeria
About Marco's Pizza Catering
A mobile pizzeria based in Chicago's West Loop, at 845 W Randolph St. We bring a wood-fired oven to events across the city and nearby suburbs, baking made-to-order pies on site for weddings, corporate lunches, birthdays, and private parties.
How we started
One piece of equipment shaped everything else
We built the business around a single piece of equipment: a wood-fired oven on a trailer. Instead of cooking in a kitchen and driving food to a venue, we park, roll the oven into place, and bake where the event is happening.
Crisp crust, not a covered tray
Pies come out of the oven at the venue and go straight to the station. Guests get a live cooking station instead of a tray that has been sitting under a lid through a drive across town.
Every event planned around access
Because the oven travels, we plan around the venue itself: where the trailer can park, how the oven rolls to the setup spot, and how much room the station needs. That conversation happens before the event, not on the day.
A focused menu, by design
Running one oven means we commit to a tight set of pies rather than a long list cooked halfway. It also means we can tell you honestly how many guests one oven handles in an hour.
Our approach to the food
Hand-stretched dough, baked in about 90 seconds
We stretch dough by hand and top each pie to order. A wood-fired oven runs hot, and a thin Neapolitan-style pie bakes fast — a blistered edge and a soft center. Nothing sits under a heat lamp.
The menu stays focused: thin-crust pizza with a rotating set of toppings, plus salads, appetizers, and desserts you can add. We'd rather do a small set of things well than a long menu done halfway.

Dough
Stretched by hand at the station, one pie at a time, so the base stays even and the edge stays light.
Heat
A wood-fired oven runs far hotter than a standard kitchen deck, which is what gives a thin pie its blistered edge and soft center.
Timing
A thin Neapolitan-style pie bakes in roughly a minute and a half, so pies reach guests while the crust is still crisp.
Who we cook for
Same oven, different formats
We work with couples planning weddings and rehearsal dinners, office managers booking team lunches and client events, and hosts throwing birthdays, anniversaries, and backyard parties. The setup adapts to each one, and we size the staffing and oven output to the guest count.
Weddings and rehearsal dinners
Usually full on-site service: a reception menu through the main meal and late-night slices once the dancing starts.
See wedding cateringCorporate lunches and client events
Often a drop-off setup with a short service window, or a staffed station when the team has time to eat together.
See corporate cateringBirthdays and anniversaries
Backyard and rented-space parties where the station becomes part of the evening rather than a catering line.
See private party cateringGuest count decides the shape
Tell us a rough number when you ask for a quote and we'll come back with how many staff and how much oven time your event needs.
The station keeps running through the evening, so guests eat when they're ready rather than on a fixed schedule.
Where we cook
Chicago and the suburbs within reach
We're based in Chicago's West Loop and serve the city and surrounding suburbs. If you're just outside our usual range, ask anyway; we'll tell you honestly whether we can make the trip.
The city
Downtown, the North Side, the South Side, and the West Loop itself — venues we can reach without a long haul on the trailer.
Nearby suburbs
Communities within a reasonable drive of the city, including events well outside the downtown core.
Venues we know
We've served venues from downtown lofts to suburban barns and lakeside tents, and the setup changes with each.
Access matters
Trailer parking, loading rules, and how far the oven has to roll are the first things we ask about after your date.
How we plan an event
The bake schedule follows your run of show
Every event starts with a quote request and a conversation about the menu, the setup, and the schedule. We'll ask about your venue's access, any loading rules, and dietary needs.
For weddings and corporate events with a set timeline, we build the bake schedule around your run of show. The goal is that the food keeps moving and you're not managing logistics on the day.
What we care about
The food comes out fresh
That's why we staff the station and time the bakes ourselves rather than handing the tray over and leaving.
The host isn't stuck working
You should be talking to guests, not coordinating the food line. We handle the queue and the timing so the evening runs itself.
Dietary needs get flagged
We'll tell you which pies contain nuts or dairy so you can guide guests with allergies, and we'll plan vegetarian or other options where the menu allows.
Unusual venues, early warnings
If something about your venue or timeline is unusual, we'd rather hear it early than discover it on the day.
Working with us
Send your date, venue, and a rough guest count
We'll come back with a package and a price. There's no obligation to book after a quote, and if you have questions about whether your event fits our setup, call us and we'll give you a straight answer.
Send the basics
Your event date, the venue address, and a rough guest count are enough for us to start pricing.
Tell us about the venue
Parking, loading access, and where the oven can sit decide how the station gets built.
Share dietary needs
Allergies, vegetarian guests, and anything a venue has asked you to accommodate.
